When you hear the words "public speaking," what comes to mind?

• A keynote presentation?

• A business meeting?

• A room full of people?

Those certainly are speaking opportunities.

But they're far from the only ones.

The truth is...

Speaking Opportunities don't just happen during formal, planned presentations.

They happen every day.

• Perhaps you're attending a meeting and want to express your opinion.

• Maybe you're at the wedding reception of dear friends and would like to offer a toast to the newlyweds.

• Perhaps you're attending the funeral of a close friend when the officiant asks,

"Would anyone like to say a few words?"

You have an opinion.

You want to give the toast.

You have wonderful memories you'd like to share.

You don't.

Because a sudden fear of public speaking takes over.

• "What if I forget what I wanted to say?"

• "What if I embarrass myself?"
