Slides: Instead of Text, use. . .

Updated: Feb 18

Transcript Fred Miller, NO SWEAT Public Speaking!

If you’re going to use slides in your presentation, and it’s a great idea, don’t use bullet points!

Bullet Points Kill!  –  Kill the Bullet Points! Nobody comes to a presentation to read your speech!

Here’s the solution: For your slides, use high quality, universally understood, images, and use them in a resolution high enough they are recognizable. Here’s an example: If I say the word, Apple, you probably don’t see A-p-p-le. You probably see something round, red, stem coming out of it.

Okay, let’s try another one. Kiwifruit – kiwifruit! Let’s do like the eye doctor does: Better? – Better? No one ever says, “Oh, Fred ,stop on that text! I can’t wait to get out of the seminar and go buy some kiwi fruit.

This stuff works!

Try it and I guarantee: your next presentation will be absolutely, positively, there’s no doubt my mind, that presentation will be – NO SWEAT!

Pausing is a key component of presenting.
