Here’s a great Introduction Tip.

We’ve already talked about the fact that you should Write your own Introduction and it’s not your bio.

It should answer three questions.

  1. Why this subject?

  2. Why this speaker? and

  3. Why now?

Here’s something add to it – the Title of your Book.

The reason I do that is we perceive authors and speakers as experts.

Oh, you haven’t written a book? That’s okay! You have one inside of you, don’t you?

Well, include it this way. Say, “The Title of Your Upcoming Book . . . ”

It’s a game changer!

Let me tell you a story. I had my introduction written and the emcee at a large chamber was reading it and it comes to the part where he says, ‘And the title of his upcoming book is . . .

“Oh my gosh! You have a book coming out?”

I said, “Yes!”

He goes, “That’s incredible! Wow!”

It’s a game changer. The Title of Your Upcoming Book should be an integral part of your presentation. You can always change the title. You didn’t tell him where it was coming out. But you’re going to write that book and that might be the kind of kick-in-the-butt you need to get done.

Include The Title of Your Upcoming Book in your introduction, and I guarantee your next presentation will be absolutely, positively – NO SWEAT!
