My BEST Tip for Practicing is. . .

Record Yourself: Video and Audio.

Fred Miller, “NO SWEAT Public Speaking!”

Here’s my BEST Tips for practicing. Use Your iPad or computer!

Record yourself: video and audio.

Now, the first time you go back to it, turn the sound off.

Just watch. Non-verbal communication trumps verbal.

Are you leaning? Are your eyeballs kind of looking around?

Are you giving any other cues that maybe you’re not engaged with your audience?

The second time you use it, turn it backwards.

Just listen. Do you have any “ahs” or “errs”?

How is your cadence? Are you pausing? How is your pronunciation and enunciation?

The third time you use it, watch and listen to audio and video.

You will see and hear what the audience sees and hears.

The fourth time, have a good friend or a coach next to you.

Have them watch and listen.

We all have blind spots. Sometimes we’re being too tough on ourselves. Sometimes we’re missing things.

Try those best tips for practicing your presentations with your iPad, audio and video, and I guarantee your next presentation will be absolutely positively –  NO SWEAT!
